Database Researcher at Sydney Uni

I am associate professor for Data Engineering and Big Data at the University of Sydney, School of Computer Science, and the Deputy Head of School (Research).

I am organising the School's Database Research Group.
From 2015 to 2019, I was the program director for the Master of Data Science (MDS) program at the University of Sydney. As such, I was also involved in introducing new majors on Data Science and Computational Data Science to the undergraduate programs of the University of Sydney.

My research interests are:

• Big Data Processing for Bioinformatics
• Data Mining of Time Series Data from Mass Cytometry
• Middle-tier Caching and Replication Management
• Cloud Data Management
